Family member of a Bulgarian citizen according to Article 2, item 6 of the Law on Foreigners.

To confirm financial sufficiency during the stay in Bulgaria, it is necessary to provide a document issued by any bank located in the Republic of Bulgaria, confirming the existence of an open account with this bank, or a similar document from a family member with Bulgarian citizenship or a certificate from their place of permanent employment, confirming the availability of funds to support themselves and their family members, along with a notarized declaration of undertaking financial responsibility for them.

When applying for a Type D visa:

• The account must have a balance of at least 6 minimum wages in the Republic of Bulgaria, which is approximately 4680 BGN or 2400 euros.

When applying for a permit for a long-term stay:

• For a 6-month permit, the account must have a balance of at least 6 minimum wages in the Republic of Bulgaria, which is approximately 4680 BGN or 2400 euros.

• For a 12-month permit, the account must have a balance of at least 12 minimum wages in the Republic of Bulgaria, which is approximately 9360 BGN or 4800 euros.

The bank statement should be issued no earlier than one month prior to the date of document submission.
